Senior Backend Developer
Description
At SEAT CODE, we're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who combines technical excellence with a strong product mindset. You won't just write code—you'll own features from ideation to go-live, working hand in hand with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers.
You'll join a cross-functional team with real impact, while also helping to shape backend practices across the company through initiative, mentoring, and collaboration 💡
What will you do 🤔
- End-to-End Ownership: From shaping product ideas to go-live and observability—you own the full lifecycle
- Backend Engineering: Design and build scalable APIs and systems using Kotlin
- Testing & Observability: Apply testing best practices (unit, integration, acceptance) and ensure system reliability via logs, metrics, alerts
- Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, monitor, and maintain services on AWS
- Product Collaboration: Co-create features with Product and Design, balancing tech and business needs
- Technical Leadership: Drive backend improvements and mentor fellow engineers

Minimum requirements
What we are expecting from you (must have) 🥰
- Experience leading technical initiatives
- Strong experience with Kotlin or Java + Spring
- Solid AWS experience
- Expertise in testing
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Experience with deployment strategies: microservices, modular monolyth
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Passion for building product-centric solutions
- Fluent English to thrive in a multicultural environment
