Mission:
Perform CAD feasibility studies for design models and associated vehicle architecture concepts, ensuring technical, cost, and quality targets are achieved while largely preserving the primary design lines.
Functions:
- Carry out concept studies, defining the volumes, spaces, and interior ergonomics of the vehicle.
- Develop and agree on concept sections, typical sections, clearance drawings, flush conditions, and radii for the exterior and interior design models.
- Apply the internal and external regulations affecting the vehicle concept.
- Generate the vehicle package as the technical basis for the styling models.
- Produce exploded graphical views, PDs, and clearance/packaging drawings required for construction and assembly, and integrate into the DMU all information received from other SEAT areas and from the Consortium.
- Analyze and evaluate the technical information required for each of the official surface presentations (R.V., D-DKM, and DKM).
- Generate 3D CAD geometry of parts for manufacturing and calculation purposes.
- Work in a simultaneous engineering environment, coordinating with other R&D departments, external engineering teams, suppliers, research centers, and other SEAT areas.
- Represent the company and the department within the scope of their responsibilities, both in Consortium meetings, in shared HUT projects, and in contexts outside the Consortium.
- Prepare control reports for Design models, providing and receiving feedback to ensure project coherence.
Basic education: University degree in Engineering (Technical or Industrial) or Architecture.
Specific training:
- Automotive Technology
- Knowledge of Automotive Project Development
- Plastic Injection Technology
Languages: Advanced English and Intermediate German
IT Skills:
- R&D applications: Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Digital Mock-Up (Virtual Reality), R&D applications.
- General SEAT applications: Microsoft Office Professional, general SEAT corporate applications.
Experience:
- 24 months in R&D
